Windows: from the garage to Music Rally
In gjonn's Gran Turismo 7 discussion, the route into a race is title screen, Music Rally, the first song, then Start. The 14 October update uses substantial driver and recompiler changes beyond upstream main.
The garage car retains its paint and detail after earlier rendering work. Racing still uses Auto Drive; keyboard operation is established for the menus.
What still interrupts a race
Music Rally can fail while loading, and occasional boot crashes or Vulkan device loss remain. The minimap also renders incorrectly. Audio was muted, so this run offers no listening check. Save data is written, but exiting and successfully reloading it remains a useful next test.
If you try the reported branch, make Music Rally loading your first checkpoint, then check what happens once the car starts moving. AnyPS5 troubleshooting helps record whether a failure happens before the menu, while loading or after the race begins.
Other games to compare
Astro Bot on AnyPS5 tests short movement in Crash Site through a direct level launch. Demon's Souls on AnyPS5 separates normal startup from a patched debug scene. Return to AnyPS5 games for the full list, or check AnyPS5 requirements before preparing a build.
