Windows: two stages of the same investigation
The initial Minecraft Preview report describes creating and loading worlds, walking, audio and Save & Quit on a d4c196c2 integration. The later 11 October trials use a b5f5362d integration and an existing saved-world scene, with Peaceful difficulty and noon lighting.
On the later build, audio and saving still need checking again. Scripted movement also leaves a physical-controller session to try.
Why the local changes matter
The investigation addresses network handling, callbacks and save-data lookup, alongside rendering and performance work. These changes are part of reaching the world. Installing an upstream build alone does not reproduce the author's integration.
If you try this setup, begin with the same Preview version and save. Once that scene works, change one condition at a time: create a fresh world, try ordinary input, then save, exit and reload. That gives each failure a useful context. Use AnyPS5 setup for the conversion workflow and AnyPS5 troubleshooting when a run stops before reaching the world.
