Linux: a new adventure reaches the first level
The ASTRO's PLAYROOM report uses main e152ba8f6 with no extra pull requests. The host runs Arch Linux with an RTX 5080, NVIDIA driver 615.78.08 and 31 GiB of memory. The tested game is PPSA01325, content version 01.905.000.
The title screen, main menu, PlayStation hardware fly-through and DualSense introduction appear before cpuplaza_mini_04. From New Game, reaching the level takes about 500 seconds. Scripted Cross and Square presses make Astro jump and punch; audio and stick input were not tested on this build.
Fonts and input are part of the setup
The run requires substitute fonts in anyps5-fonts/ and APS5_HOST_IMPORT_MIB=16384. Without the fonts, the source describes an “Out of Global Heap Memory” assertion. Buttons were sent through APS5_PAD_INPUT_FILE and tools/pad_input.py.
A later October 17 Linux main test loaded an existing save for about three minutes with additional performance switches. A Windows user in the same thread encountered a texture assertion, so the Linux result should not be assumed to apply there. Use AnyPS5 setup to prepare your own configuration, and AnyPS5 games to compare other titles.
