Windows: a specific storage-write workaround
The SILENT HILL update uses main f1af6c591, content version 01.000.001, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090 with NVIDIA 617.42 on Windows 11. Two runs with the setting reached gameplay, and one exceeded 70,000 frames without stopping.
The author measured about 45 FPS in the warm menu, but did not record the gameplay rate in these two runs. The older 8.6 FPS figure belongs to another revision. A later RTX 2080 SUPER report also encountered loading stalls on a different main build, so the workaround should not be treated as a guarantee across systems.
